Connect your support email
Receive and send customer email through your own Postmark server.
Custorva receives and sends email through your own Postmark server. Your mail goes out from your own domain, and your sending reputation is yours alone.
You need a Postmark account. Postmark charges for its service separately.
Steps
- Create a Postmark server for this inbox. Use one server per inbox.
- In Custorva, open Settings → Channels and add an email inbox with your support address, for example
[email protected]. - Inbound. Custorva shows an inbound webhook URL once, when you create the inbox. Paste it into your Postmark server's inbound stream settings. Then forward your support address to the server's inbound address, or point an inbound domain's MX record at Postmark.
- Delivery updates. Paste the delivery webhook URL into the server's transactional stream webhooks, with Delivery, Bounce and Spam complaint enabled.
- Sending domain. In Postmark, add your domain and publish the DKIM and Return-Path DNS records it gives you. Wait until Postmark shows both as verified. Add a DMARC record (
_dmarc.yourcompany.com);p=noneis a safe start. - Server token. Paste the Postmark server's API token into the inbox's sending settings in Custorva. It is stored encrypted and never shown again.
Send a test email to your support address. It appears in Inbox as a new conversation with a ticket.
If a reply cannot be sent
Custorva refuses to send, and keeps your draft, when the inbox has no server token. A reply that Postmark rejects is marked failed on the message, with the reason.
